Xmas Party 2006 - Great fun was had at this year's end of year party and awards.  Congratulations go to Rhys Prankard, Delme Pezzack, Flynn Woodward and Rob Miller who all received an award from Master Prewett.  It was particularly touching that this year Master Prewett had decided to recognise those who might not always come back with gold medals but who are always training hard and following the 5 tenets of Taekwon-do: courtesy, integrity, perseverence, self-control, indomitable spirit.
Well done to Bethan Pezzack for winning over bronze and Kane Collins for winning overall GOLD in the Grand Prix competition.

British Open, Sheffield - A very successful weekend was had in Sheffield.   Fairwater sent a very strong team consisting of Sophie and Kane Collins, Ben Miller, Delme and Bethan Pezzack, Valerie and Patrick Barrett, Lee Burridge and George Crews.

European Championships - Well done to Lee and Sophie who entered this time.   Both did really well, but Lee managed to win a bronze in the 13-17 patterns.  Not bad for his first attempt at a major competition!

English Open, Crawley - Yet again our Fairwater team did us proud at the latest competition.  ITF Wales swept the board with Fairwater coming overall first and our friends at Ely coming overall second!

Saturday 16th September - Seminar and Grading
An excellent seminar and grading was led by Master Gary Miller.  Master Miller focussed on the importance of correct technique throughout the movement to ensure full power production.  Look at the photos from the day in our Gallery.

World Championships 2006, Sophia, Bulgaria - A huge congratulations to our very own Sophie Collins who entered this year's Junior World Championships.  There were over 500 competitors from 64 countries and each round had 30+ in its group.  Sophie did extremely well coming 4th in both sparring and patterns.  Well done Soph!

London Open 2006 - More success for the Fairwater Team and our friends from ITF Wales at this year's London Open.

Seminar and Grading, March 25th - An excellent seminar was led by Master Raymond O'Neill at the Heath Hospital Sports Centre.  Focii included the use of mass to create power, the importance of correct basic technique, and correct pattern technique.  Congratualtions to Myles, Kath and Rhys who passed their grading that day.

Success at Scottish Open - A huge congratulations go to all the competitors from Fairwater (and our other ITF Wales friends) for their achievements at the Scottish Open.
